Im not sure there even is a difference. I heard that some stuff was moved around on the front for better cooling but theres no proof of that as far as im aware. Power ratings were also lower on the cobra I believe so maybe tune and rear end but motor wise I have no real idea.

The front cover is different.

Same basic motor, cam profile may be a bit different.

Pretty minor differences, basically just the outside stuff, front cover, upper intake and intake leading to passenger side.

Thank you guys i was just wonder because i kno our motor comes with 305 Horses from stock and the 01 Cobra says it come with 320 thought it was a difference becuz my motor went out and i found an 01 Cobra motor with 80,000 miles on it and wanted to kno would that motor fit in the Marauder?

Different power rating because of tuning/induction. Impalaslayer is selling a used 108k mile motor out of a 2003 for $1,000 plus shipping.

Ford's 4.6 DOHC had (I think) 7 different head variations through it's history, and the ones used on the 03-04 MM were rated the best, there is a thread, here I believe, that explains the changes.

You need to make sure you take off the Marauder specific brackets for the alternator and I believe the pulleys. The Mustangs are different and they dont line up.

Different heads, intake cams, lower intake (poor casting) and crankshaft (8 bolt forged).

Front cover is the same if it was made later in the model year.

The cobra engine made more hp, but less tq.
