So I finally got a chance to really check out my car and the only cancer on it really is the passenger side quarter. I have a rebuild story from a guy in a restoration magazine and he said he got his from JC Whitneys. They no longer carry them and I am coming up short in my searches. I was wondering if anybody knew of a place that might have some or of another Ford model that might swap in. I was thinking a Fairlane but I am just assuming really. Any :help: would be truly appreciated!

Do you have photos of the bad section?
I don't think any other Ford model will fit, and that you are restricted to 1965 full size Mercury for replacement options.

I am afraid Kirk is correct...do not think others will fit but I might stand corrected here...hope so for your sake.
Good luck with the resto on that '65.

No, I don't have a pic. I thought I took a picture but guess I missed that part. I talked with my father-in-law and he said we should be able to build a patch panel. I will take a pic next time I am up in Wyoming

Might be worth it to look at or list an ad in Hemmings Motor News.

I am in the process (long process:shake:) of restoring my '65 Parklane Marauder. I also have dealt with a little rust issue hidden behind the rocker trim. Rust was cut out and patch panels were fabricated on site.

Well.............It just left MO's Speed shop (much to Martyo's delight) where they had rebuilt the 390FE, added in a C6 tranny, disc brakes, headers, wiring, fuel lines, gas tank, etc....etc.
I should have some photos around.
It is currently staged at a storage facility waiting on a spot to open up with Smith Paint and Restoration for reassembly

Sounds pretty awesome. I have decided to start collecting the parts for mine. I ran into a couple in my hometown when I went back in October. They have a 64 and told me about a place named Mac's out of NY. Looks like they carry some parts for the 65 including a possible quarter. Need to call and verify it will fit.
