Took it to my shop today to have them look at the trans because it was grinding a little between 2nd and 3rd. The solenoids were f*****. They have a used one with 69000 should i just replace it or have them rebuild it? What are your thoughts??

If it's just the solenoids, why not replace them? It's quick and easy...
...and I agree with slickster; a used transmission is potentially buying someone else's headache.

Are you at stock power levels? Do you plan on keeping it there?
If 'yes' then I would look for a good used unit and have the extra 1k or more in my pocket.

As of right now im going to put a used one in it and hope for the best. Yes im just at stock power levels now but hope to chance that in the near future although this will set me back a bit in that department.

And use an external cooler, you'll never get all the metal out of your stock cooler.

And use an external cooler, you'll never get all the metal out of your stock cooler.Werd.
The thermostatic bypass will block fluid from getting through the actual cooler.
