Has anybody ordered inserts from this place? Are they any good? If not where is a good place to order. Couldn't decide between gold and chrome...my love of chrome won out.

Not Chrome. They are mirror-polished Stainless Steel. Price seems right. My SS Inserts have been on for 9 years and still look new.

I had Bob White decals on at first, they looked good, but don't hold up as well as the inserts.

I got mine a few months ago from B W...gold on the DTR...will see how they do over time...although I do not drive 'The Major' very often.

Thanks! Think I'm going with them. Will order them this weekend. I do think the gold looks good on the DTR's, but as for a daily driver, I don't think the longevity will be there unfortunately.:( So the stainless will work. I call anything in a silver finish chrome...drive's my wife crazy:cool:

Tip for installation: Make sure you clean the embossed letter areas thoroughly.

I used a mixture of Simple Green and water (1:3 ratio) and a tooth brush for the first pass, then followed up with an alcohol based window cleaner and a microfiber towel. You can also use Dawn dish soap

The adhesive in the letters will hold real well on a clean surface, but not so much if there's any dirt or film buid up (including wax).

Ordered two sets from there for two marauders both were great and fit very nice and are stainless so no rust. I think they have a black chrome now if that interests you.

I do like the black chrome...but just chrome is the icing on my cake...If only thet could make them magnetic so you could switch out easily...:D

I thought the samething!!! i have the regular stainless ones and wanted to get the black titanium ones.. but dont want to go through the hassle of taking the other ones off.
