GM or CV in a boneyard would be the best and cheapest bet.

Man I don't know what it's like where you are but up here (Canada) there's no more bone yards. It's big business here. Gone are the days that I could walk into a yard with my tool box and find a car that I could strip what I wanted and then take up to the front and hagle price with the guy. I think they call it progress but it just pisses me off!!! That's my rant for today..

Wow that sucks.

It's unbelievable here. The auto recyclers (as they like to be called) will give you $75-$100 for your car lets say and they’ll come pick it up for free. They take it to their yard where they strip it of anything useful then they crush the rest for scrap metal. Everything that came off the car is then cataloged into their computer system with a standard price. Every yard has the same price and if you go onto their website (if they have one) to search for a part they're all...... the same price. And I’ve noticed that they all use the same search engine. The whole thing is locked up tight cause they’re all in collusion. It’s set up nicely for insurance too cause when you take your car into a body shop (usually recommended by your insurance) they know how much the parts cost so they give you a lower amount on your claim. It f%#king stinks!!
