Can I use the fuel pump shut off button as a kill switch?

Not that often. Probably twice a week.

Is it okay to use?

So using the button is a no-no?

It is pretty obvious thing to check.

Mount a hidden toggle switch under the rear deck, behind a speaker or somewhere out of sight, and wire it inline with the inertia switch, splicing it further back in the harness, then tape up the wiring to look factory.

Like Marty said, the easiest thing to do is pull the fuel pump relay.

Yep, I would just pull the fuel pump relay as well.

Thanks guys.

Next trip to the ghetto I will pull the relay. I am tired of removing the battery and taking it inside every week.

i would lovee to wire in a hidden cut off switch

i NEVER get a parking spot on my OWN street is how crazy it is around here everyone has 3 cars per house and always have to literally part a street over and i HATEE it......

this summer im going to try to do so and wire in a hidden toggle switch somewhere...just for peice of mind when parking my car when i cant look outside and see her..

i always pull some fuse under the dash a 10a when i pull it absolutlely no power to car

All you will need is a wheel lift to steal it then.....

I am still paranoid about an illegal tow. So I make sure I parallel park in between cars.

You can grab one out of a spot like that with the right lift.

I would be stuck in the 12s with the additional weight. :o

I wired up a toggle switch and put it in the ashtray, way in the back. This cut the ignition, it worked great and was easy to do.

Don't know what massacre is talking about, but the MM did come with an ash tray... it's a removable cup assembly that fit in the cup holder(s).

I installed a kill switch in my first Marauder. I wired from the fuse box, the fuel fuse, to switches inside the car. one switch I accessed thru the glove box and the other was under the passenger front seat with the wiring tucked under the floor console. Another good location is the ceiling console but people will notice you putting your hand up. the passenger seat works good for me as I usually have a lunch bag on the passenger floor. I always clicked one switch off and sometimes both. The Marauder will start with the switch(es) off but will stall as it runs out of gas. I did that alot over the 7+ years I owned Marauder 1.
If you use the fuel cut-off switch, people will notice. Also if you forget, you have to get out of the car as it is located in the trunk.

Sorry I was referring to my '93 MGM, which has a regular ash tray in the regular location where an ashtray should be.

I spliced into the white/pink wire that goes from the ignition switch and travels down the steering column and eventually through the trans harness to the MLPS.
Even with the key, they car won't start unless the toggle switch is flipped.

It's not high-tech and it's not fool-proof, but it is definitely simple and cheap.
