Did a search and came up with nothing. What do you all use on your door seals to keep them limber and in good shape? Got one door that is a touch sticky on opening and think it's time I started caring for these before it becomes a problem. Thx.

Armor All® Protectant Wipes (http://www.armorall.com/prodcat/pages/wipes_2.1.html)

I love the disclaimer at the bottom of the page...

Any silicone spray will do.

I've been using silicon spray on all of my cars for as long as I was able to get my hands on it. I reapply about every 3 months. Keeps 'em fresh.

I agree, and also do what everyone above has stated in regards to armour-all wipes. Used periodically it will keep the seals in good shape.

As far as that new car sticky door door strip issue, where as the door becomes difficult to open, as if stuck, there is a product that the dealerships regularly use. If you ask nice, they may give you a tube. It's about as big as a tube of ambesol.

This product is the exact same one that my dealer offered and used on my car.

When I first got my car, I had no squeaks from the gaskets. After about 8000 miles one or more doors would squeak once I went over a bump that jarred the car a bit. This problem would recur more frequently and became a serious irritant. (I now have 17,000 miles on the car.) I tried a gasket protectant (I don't remember which kind) and it worked for a short time. It didn't last long enoug for me.

I now use the Dupont product and squeak was eliminated. But I don't know how long it will last before it squeaks again. I'll report on the success of this new product as soon I get more experience.

The Dupont product comes in a small tube and cost me $20! I'll try another source if I have to buy too often

Snap ( brandname ) silcone spray on a rag works for me. *Inexpensive and easy to find.

OK guys and gals,
This is the best stuff to use: 'Dupont KRYTOX performance lubricant' . It is basically a silicone grease.
It is what all the Corvette people swear by.
Suggest getting the biggest tube possible at the best price you can find -- apply 2-3 times per year. That's it.

So where would you find that Krytox? Is it something an auto parts store would have?

Ross,
You can try the auto parts stores. Don't know what success you will have. Eckler's and Mid-America both carry it -- both are Corvette Parts & Accessories catalogs. You could try AutoZone and Pep Boys.
