It' about time to replace the original windshield...it's pitted so bad that when the sun shins on it you can hardly see through it...:(
Are windshields still available like the original ones with the blacked out edges and dot matrix patterns..?

Go to Carlite's website. They will list what auto glass places carry the original carlite windshield with the small ford logo in the bottom middle.
Yeah the glass is one thing you shouldn't have a problem finding.

You might talk to a detailer to see if he could polish out those defects. I polished out some wiper trails from not using fluid and other defects on my Mother-In-Laws car.

Just tell whichever shop that you want the Carlite "shaded" top OEM glass. There is a non-shaded version but that was not used in MM's. They all can get it. Price seems to vary by installer but usually within $25-75. I have used Safelite. They get the OEm glass the next day and can come out to you for install (for more $$ of course).
