Actually, if you read the article the guy points out that 550 lbs/in front springs were an improvement, and he wishes he had gone with a little more.

I am running 600 lbs/in on my Penske coilovers up front, and they are perfect.

I am also looking into the Eaton springs as I do not like the thought of cutting my own springs!!! Let you know if I get more info from the source.

At 600 lbs you must feel every road imperfection.
Is this a daily driver ?

That's kind of what I got out of it - on average, most of the people that went with Eibach or Eaton springs were not happy with it ; most of the people that just cut 3/4 - 1 coil were.

I just can't get passed the 'ghetto' cutting of springs... Feel like a broke kid ina civic again!!!

Maybe coilovers it is... But even there it seems like people aren't pleased.

You would think, but no. It rides very nicely and is a daily driver with the ride taught and firm, but not harsh. The Penske 7500DA shocks match the spring rate perfectly. Ride and handling are excellent.

I wouldn't trade this setup for new stock springs and Tokico's (assuming it was even possible to buy them) if you paid me. :D

If you've got the dough the Penske 7500DA coilovers from ANZE suspension are pretty amazing. But the price is steep . . .:(

You must be referring to the QA1 coilover setup. I have also read about poor results from those parts.

To the best of my knowledge I am the first one to use the Penske 7500DA coilovers adapted to the Marauder front. I have nothing but good things to say about this setup. :)

John McGann (of Car Craft Mag, and owner of that 2003 CV) might be attending and showing his CV at Fabulous Fords Forever this year since we have at least 23 panthers registered to attend (that my group is aware of).

Cool ! If he does attend & if you remember :) - would you ask him what pound rate his rear springs are? In his article(s) he mentioned that he was running 550 pound/inch up front & I am too dense to figger out the math to determine the corresponding & appropriate rate for the rear.

I am guessing around 190 to 200 pound/inch.

Thanks
