I'm finding conflicting story's on here about the air bag parts for are marauder. Arnot offers replacement bags for a grand marquis but not a marauder. Are the bags the same or not. I'm about to order the complete kit or just the compressor if the bags are different. I need a compressor ASAP. Thanks

I've asked the same thing as one. One member reports that the air bags from Arnott (Towncar) ones were too harsh and firm. I wonder if the listed ones for the Grand Maqruis are exactly the same or would provider a softer less harsh ride.

I read that post. I went with buying just the compressor un till further research. Dealer oem wants $275 apiece for bags

Can you get the Fire Stone # off the bag? I know a guy who might be able to match them up. He works for Motion Industy. He said he could get all kinds of air bags.

I would not use anything but OEM if you value ride quality. Arnott bags are NOT the same. But if you want to learn the hard way I'll sell you a pair with only 1K miles on them, cheap.

Fire Stone made the OME bags. You don't happen to remember the #'s on those bags do you?

I can find them. Good luck buying them from other-than-Ford.

The air bag construction is more spherical and less of a cylindrical sleeve. Arnott appears incapable of making the exact air spring we need. I suspect this will be true of the Grand Marquis application.

OEM's spend an enormous amount of time on suspension tuning, specifically shocks and springs. As of this moment, nobody has stepped forward that makes an acceptable air spring replacement, IMHO. I know OEM is expensive, but it is worth it.

It also appears there are very few shocks available for this car, especially good "performance" shocks. My Penske 7500DA on the front with 600 lbs/in springs are awesome. But until I get the matching rears dialed in I can't recommend them. Although my standards are high, I suspect this is only a few weeks away . . .

Yes, we have the same as Towncar/limo OEM springs. These are not the same as Arnott Towncar/limo. Don't bother, you'll be disappointed and frustrated.
