I am looking for preferably new, or possibly one that will allow for SC. I have the Cobra long block, but not ready for SC yet, but if I gotta replace a part that needs to be replaced for SC, why not replace with part that is needed for SC install.

The OEM COT gets modified for an Eaton swap. It gets shortened and lowered about a inch along both axis.
FWIW, I'd just wait until you do the swap as all that stuff has to come off anyway.
They're kinda rare items, but you may be able to find one on e-Bay, or maybe somebody here's got an extra laying around.

I get anxiety every time I think of letting go of a part out of my hoarders stash.
Isn't there a crossover delete process posted here somewhere for the eaton swap??

Yes there's a Xover delete kit (which I am running) you have to modify the lower radiator hose and reroute the heater hose to run this kit, very nice and clean looking setup.

More details?!!!
If gotta fix, would rather do it clean.... Do I need to get out that search button?

I am running Modularspeed's X-over delete kit, it's a great piece for a great price.
