Well, while installing my alarm/remote start the other day, my face was mostly planted into my drivers seat, and i noticed 2 tears/wears in the seat. on my drivers seat, closest to the door, near the reclineing part of the back reast. I though maybe a tool had done it, but when i pressed on the seat, i felt the sharp metal components of the seat actually wore through the leather, causing 2 holes. I was only able to picture one of them, but there right near eachother.
I have a build date of 06/02. SO everyone check your seats to make sure they are tear free. I'll be going to the dealership for this. Hopefully they'll give me a new seat, and not try to repair it, because i know it'll just rip again.

Could you confirm something for me?
I've had the suspicion that the only part of our seats that's actually Leather is the square part with the small holes in it where the butt is planted.
Have a look at the backside of your tear to see if it's plastic, and put my suspicions to rest. . .
Thanks Ultra.

My build date is also 06/02. I found a similar hole in my driver seat bottom in the same location as well as when I push in I feel the metal pertruding upward. I am not too worried about it as I have 12k left on warranty and will have it addressed prior to warranty expiration. I will get a little more wear out of the seat first.
