So I send my car to the engine dr. and i'm working on a budget and it's been hard to find a reasonable cobra short block. My bottom end is done from spun rod bearings so the guy gives me an alternate option, he says "i have a low mileage Romeo cast iron block pulled from a 09 Police Interceptor i could build up with racing pistons, metal timing chains and a racing oil pump and it will fit my heads no problem". My concern is....a Crown Vic motor is 2V and a MM motor is 4V, does the block matter? He claims it will give the same output as a cobra stock short block and it would be abled to handle upgrades as well....somebody know anything about short blocks help me please?!?!

Great info to keep on hand as many will soon be looking to rebuild or replace a tired motor.
