I'm looking to replace the POS no name brand touch screen in my DTR for a better unit. I have a few specifications that I want out of the new unit but it seems there isn't a whole lot of info on the units I am looking at. My requirements are:
Bluetooth integration with my Android phone (For Pandora, hands free calling, GPS ect.)
The ability to run a reverse camera.
Pre-outs for my sub amp and an amp for my speakers.
The ability to retain my steering wheel controls and my CD changer in the trunk.
Be able to play DVDs while in Drive.
So far none of the units I have seen will work with my steering wheel controls or my CD changer. Also, of the units I have been looking at, all of them seem to be made for the iPhone/iPod. Not my Droid Razr Maxx. I'm not a huge sound junkie/stereo snob, so a top of the line unit is not required. I just want everything to work the way it is supposed to. So, what say you? Can y'all help a brother out?

My Kenwood DDX-419 has the ability to do all those things to my knowledge. But I dont use all those things so I cannot be certain. I do know it has bluetooth, pandora, ability to buy backup camera, nice 4 volt pre-outs, ability to buy steering wheel controls, not sure on the changer, DVD's while driving is no problem with 9 dollar "wiring kit" from ebay. The Kenwood DDX-419 has been replaced with the DDX-470.

It looks alright.
Although, this Sony unit looks to be about what I am looking for, I just don't know if I can retain my CD changer.

Pioneer AVIC-X904 BT for the win!

You will need an interface unit for the steering wheel controls.
As far as I know there is no aftermarket headunit that will allow the use of the factory CD changer.
The Pioneer unit plays MP3's on a CD, you can use up to a 32GB micro SD card or a USB drive to hold your music.

You should have no trouble with any of that other than the CD changer adaptability, that ain't gonna happen without some voodoo.
I put in the Kenwood DNX 9140 when it was new, does everything you ask for. You will need an adapter to interface your steering wheel controls with most head units.

I thought those units didn't work well in a Marauder since the dash pad overhangs the radio and the screen will be tilted too far forward?

So the ddx470 is the new version of the ddx419 ad it moved the usb and aux to the rear. Another one that is real nice is Alpine INE-s920hd. it cost a a lot more but you get a much better HD radio, nav, and display. You will need something for your steering wheel controls and cable for Ipod, oh and if you want to access the setup at any time you need the axxes part Trigger too.

Not so fast.....
I used a Pac Audio SWI-PS to integrate my Pioneer headunit to the steering wheel controls.
They make units that integrate all the major brand radios to the steering wheel controls.

yes steering wheel controls but not the factory changer. Who needs a changer any ways they just jam and you can get a hard drive with way more music and won't jam.. oh and its a pain in the ass to get the factory disc changer cartridge..

Right. My Pioneer will play MP3's on CDs or from a USB or from the 32GB micro SD.

I guess I just wanted it to work instead of it just taking up space in my trunk. I'm a little OCD. I think I am going to go with the SONY unit that I posted earlier. Thanks a bunch guys.
