Just got a Marauder!!!

Hey guys i finally just got my 03 Mercury Marauder. Just wondering what kind of mods i should do first, the car is completely stock.

Welcome...:welcome: I'm new too and what I was told is start with a CAI, tune, then possible 4:10s. If that's not enuff go supercharged. It's really endless and COMPLETELY addictive.

Just go for a tune at minimum. But a tune and 4.10's are a great start to something wonderful.

Welcome in Cygnus! I would say, drive the hell out of it for a month, and figure out based on what you like, where to start..... Suspenson? Braking? Power? Bling? Sound? Everybody has a different take on an ideal Marauder... Rarely is an owner of their own car wrong;) Enjoy the ride regardless of what you do:beer:

I always thought that once I bought my MM, I would be one of a few guys left in the world to have an unmodded MM in say 15 years, you know "that guy".....allow me to say, that all went out the sunroof on the 1,026 mile ride home from Florida!! First mod last week was remove back kats....that livened it up. Sounds better too, I have a K&N CAI on its way - should be here in a few days, I have checked on 4.10 install....AND may have unearthered a factory '04 Cobra blower for sale at my localspeed shop........I have owed mine exactly 12 days, 1 hour and 3 minutes. Stop while you are ahead and Hurry, I think you need to sell your MM to me for $8.01. :D

mpg on 410s is pretty much the same as OEM 355. this has been discussed plenty of times on this forum but there are other factors that come into play for mpg (driving habits, other modifications, tire pressure, etc)... but ultimately most members here havent noticed significant decrease in mpg. maybe 1 or 2 mpg less...

short story: the 410s are worth it! :)
