Just installed new HIDs. My passenger side is in reverse? When I turn my headlights on, the passenger is on Hi beam while the driver's side is on low. I turn on Hi beams, the driver's side is OK but passenger go to low.
Some of the slots in the headlight assy are broken so can it be that I put the bulb in upside down? Would that make this difference?
Thanks!
Pete

If it makes any difference, it's the 9007 HI/LO kit from DDM Tuning.

The wire on the bulbs needs to be at the 6 o'clock position.
You need to use the left side headlight connector in the harness.
The wires in the headlight connector (blue) in the kit may need to be reversed. The center wire (brown, black or green) is the ground, the lo beam wire (white) is to the left of center, the hi beam (blue) is to the right of center. This is looking into the blue connector with the flat side on top.

Sounds like you got the wrong kit for Hi & Lo HIDs. And the kit is hooked up wrong.
There are the different types of HID bulbs...
#1 - One HID bulb per headlight - no Hi beams, just Lo beams
#2 - One HID bulb and one halogen bulb per headlight - Lo beam is the HID bulb, Hi beam is the halogen bulb.
#3 - HID bulb with the solenoid - one HID bulb that mechanically moves up & down to give you Hi & Lo beams.
#4 - 2 HID bulbs per socket - separate HID bulb for Hi & Lo beams.
#1 - Is good for foglights - who doesn't want Hi beams?
#2 - Doesn't buy you much, your Lo beams will be great... Hi beams not so good, just like they are now.
#3 - These are the most common bulbs in current HID upgrade kits.
# 4 - The ultimate in HID upgrade kits. More expensive because everything is doubled - bulbs, ballasts and add a relay kit. Harder to install because you now have to find a place to mount 4 ballasts instead of two.

You forgot to put a #5 - Doing a projector retro-fit to the halogen housing is the ultimate hid upgrade.

Yup...
I think that is beyond the scope of most DIYers....

A high/low kit would come with
two bulbs
two ballast
one hi/lo controller
Did it come with a relay unit that connects to both light/ballast units and has a positive and negative connection?
If the place where you bought them from sent you the wrong kit then I would go back to them, complain and get the right kit.

I can get a kit for you. We can talk about partial trade for the kit you have.
PM me.
