I'll be making the drive to South Florida on April 5 from North Carolina in my Marauder for a vacation. I'll be busy with family stuff for the week plus a couple of days, so the only chance to do "car stuff" is that I'm planning to check out the weekly car gathering @ The Tower Shops in Davie on 04/12(weather permitting), meet some of the SSM members & to see their cars & maybe show off my less than perfect 300A. After the show, I'll be meeting some friends from high school at either Miller's Ale House close to the car show site or at Duffy's Sports Bar up the street in Plantation. So if all goes well, I'll hope to meet some SSM members & their cars next month. :coolman: Will give updates on the trip as it progresses.

Its a possibility on the way down for breakfast { more likely lunchtime}, but won't know for sure yet when I'll be in the area while traveling from Savannah,Ga. on Saturday morning (April 6). Will update on an ETA is this is a go & will take it from there, or if not on my way down, on my return trip back home on April 14 (Sunday).

I'm leaving sometime on April 5 & spending the night around Savannah,Ga. & to meet with STEPS & Go2GuyFL on my way down to South Florida on April 6 (my birthday). On April 12 (Friday) after the car show at The Tower Shops {I'm hoping the weather gods cooperate}, I'll be meeting with some of my high school friends closeby at Miller's Ale House [2080 S. University Drive in Davie] from 8:15 pm to 11 pm to grab a bite, a drink, celebrate my belated birthday by then & catching up on life. All SSM members in the area, whether you're attending the car show or not, are welcome to join me. If there are any new information/updates, I'll keep you posted.

Arrived safe & sound in Boynton Beach,Fl. I had met STEPS & frdwrnch {thank you & Mrs STEPS again for hosting a great breakfast for me & my traveling friend at your lovely home.} & Go2GuyFl @ Nathan's hot dogs. Seeing 3 Marauders in a day up close ( and on my birthday at that) is a very good thing indeed. :2thumbs:

So far on my vacation with the Marauder, I had logged 1100+ miles in 4 days, including 2 trips to Miami & Miami Beach & maybe more before the week is up, had it washed & vacuumed once already & would have to clean it a couple of more times by the weekend & had no problems with it mechanically, especially the HVAC system with temperatures reaching 87* a few times. Also on this trip, I would be breaking the 100k barrier by Sunday, if not sooner. :2thumbs:

Good to hear your with good company! Funny, we have a super low mileage minivan, actually ridiculous low mileage, but it has only seen ONE road trip ever.. Seems the wife and three kids prefer the Marauder for long hauls... Not to mention its one of very few cars I've ever driven that my back can handle.

I would love to head to the Keys, but won't be able to make it on this trip. It has been quite a few years since the last time I was there. Hopefully next trip down here.

Last night, I attended the car show with the Sunshine State Marauders club members in the area to hang out for a little while. It was a pleasure meeting RoyLPita, greggash, John Nero, Pierre visiting from Quebec with his wife & the Marauder & the one SSM member w/ the silver Camaro SS(sorry I forgot your name) . A great show with a good number of classic & modern muscle cars.

Corrections: Greggash is the owner of the Silver Camrauder, John Nero's
Marauder is next to RoyalPita, and the DTR is FruitPunch owned by Blackmobile.

I enjoyed the trip to Florida, meeting other Marauder owners along the way & seeing their beautiful cars. I had racked up 2185 trouble-free miles in 9 days in my Marauder, the A/C system worked like a charm, broke the 100K mile barrier on this trip yesterday & was averaging 22.4 mpg.
