just wondering about my merc's production date, did a search but could not find my answer. my drivers door states 7-02. my ford cert states 8-6-02.
could this be because the car was planned for production in july but actually hit the assembly line a few weeks later?
I want to add my car to Adam's list but found this discrepancy....thanks:beer: Bill

I'd go with the Ford Certification number, that shuld reflect the actual build date.

Does the VIN on the door sticker match the VIN on the actual car/certificate? Maybe the door was replaced. :)

hey guys thanks..The vin matches on the door, dash and all paperwork I have for the car including a clean title and the ford cert. however the door lable does not give the day, just the month and year of production...hmmmm
The date discrepancy happens, likely it was scheduled for late July but not built till Aug...

PM me your VIN and I'll run an OASIS for you. thanks for the oasis JBFTECH ! it verified the aug 6 build date, also no major issues other than a wheel alignment while under warranty.
