I look forward to this. The last time they surfaced, there were hardly any. The time before that, there were s*** loads. The time before that, I was a protozoa.

There isn't any reason to kill the cicadas, once it gets cool again they will go back in the ground.

There are 13 yr ones and the 17 yr ones. The 13 yr ones came out about two years ago, those are Brood 1 Cicadas and are only in a handful of states.

I was referring to the 17 year ones. There weren't that many last time. At least around here in my immediate area.

I use to pull their shells off the trees when I was a kid...or at least their cousins anyway.
