Gonna give my spare headlights some plastic surgery. I'll post some pics and how they turn out after I get a warm day to spray em. Got some clear headlight protection film also.

Make sure you're wet sanding. Dry sanding will not look as good. Use 600 grit or higher. For headlamp restores at my shop we use a LiteRite kit. It has the best clear/seal coat I've used. It's basically liquid glass, but it has to cure with a UV lamp or in the Sun for at least 1 hour. When I first got my MM, one head lamp looked terrible from someones futile attempt to fix it.

Good luck!! Let us know how it comes out!

Guy on Ebay had a bunch of different kinds and got a 1 foot by 3 foot clear piece for $8.95

I think I'm going to dry sand the first two sheets then do the rest in wet sanding up to 2000grit then clean em off and hit them with the U-POL #1.

Reason I'm gonna dry sand first is due to the fact of all the rock pitting on them and plus I did a CV headlight restoration to them but the pits were too noticeable.

Gotcha. Sounds like good plan to get the big pits out first. I didn't know how in depth you were going! Those should come out great.

Well I got my housing sanded down and ready for the U-Pol and when I opened the box it was in, they shipped me Acid #8 primer instead of the Clear #1 that was on the invoice:mad2: Soooo needless to say I sent a nice little message to the company I bought it off of and I am awaiting their reply. They better have this stuff overnighted so I can have the headlights on for Louisville.
