Does anyone know what pulley comes with the novi 1200 dr kit? And why my car is only making 4.7lbs of boost at 5800 rpm. No belt slip until 5800 Rpm either. Either need to get a new pulley or something is wrong. Any help is appreciated car is stuck at the dyno shop until I get more boost!

I know the with the supplied belt the tensioner seemed to be near the minimum but the belt felt tight. But I have a 110.5 gator back belt I'm gonna throw on it.

The stock pulley that comes with the kit is a 3.6 110.5 is the correct belt size. Most likely you have a boost leak. The shop should be able to run a vaccum check thru the system.

Yeah the gator back belt I purchased. I'm going to take the one dr supplied and match them up if its not different I can rule that out. Then check for leaks and vacuum

I should of said no signs of belt slip till 5800 rpms when boost started to drop but it could be the issue because I heard a lot of people got the wrong belt size from u know who.

Reinhart is well known for supplying the wrong belt:shake:
However i would only use gates. Gatorback is no good o my book.

My vortech kit that I purchased from a member who never installed it and sold his marauder came with not one , but two belts...both were wrong. I had Mo's Speed shop do my install so they got me the right one.

Sucks, sorry about your low boost issue. Are you using the stock tensioner?
Here is a good aftermarket tensioner- http://www.thumpracing.com/
Also Dayco makes a good belts - I think this is correct (110.5 - 6 rib)

yeah i am using the stock tensioner. If that is the issue i will have to upgrade. and good to know about the belts i got the gator back for cheap so if it resolves the issue i will be looking at gates or the dayco. Babbage what is the correct tensioner part number. Thanks for your help!

See if the Gates HD Green Fleet Runner is available, it DOES NOT stretch. Check with Thump to see if their tensioner will fit on a 6 rib Vortech set up. Check with Roush for a tensioner.

I think this is the one you want:

With the Reinhart stock S/C Vortech pulley you should not have any slippage. Make sure the tensioner you buy is S/C bracket compatible.

So does the tensioner mount up on the sc bracket or is it a new tensioner to replace the stock one. Sorry first sc car lol.

Hey you might want to do a pan drop on the trans, new filter, fresh Mercon V perhaps a trans cooler. SC's are tough on the transmission. Perhaps get a bigger trans pan with drain plug. Would recommend changing trans fluid more often now that you are boosted!
Got any final dyno numbers etc?

Yeah I plan on doing most of that when the budget allows for it. But for now I got 380 rwhp and 340 tq. Need to still work on belt alignment and some goodies. But car runs real strong and pulls like a bastard on the highway. Babbage let me know when u want to take a trip to the valley!

Keep working on it. I bet you are having a lot of belt slip. I lost 180RWHP due to belt slip when the alignment was off by 1 washer. Assuming you have the "standard" intercool Kit at 10psi on a DynoJet you should make an easy 450RWHP.

Will do, I'd like to meetup with you and RacerX and Triple Threat at LVD - April is coming soon!
Re: belt alignment someone on this site had a shop do a "laser alignment" on a vortec setup. I forget who it was but it sounded super accurate.

Anyone within 4 hours ish of Albany ny. Would drive out to try and solve this low hp problem with vortech kit. I am stumped and don't want to drive to mo's but it would be last resort. Would compensate for time I am just at a loss alignment seems good but this is my first ever sc install. And I am twitching every day knowing 80 hp is missing haha. Vortech " pros " wanted!
