Wanting New Headlight Assembly's for my DBP

OEM is out of my price range right now. Looks like 350 for a pair. Carpartswholesale has a pair of aftermarkets for like 167 dollars. Am autoparts has a pair of aftermarkets for around 200 or so.

WHAT is the difference? Anybody have pictures on their car of factory vs aftermarket? I know I need the black bezels. But other than that they cant be worse than my restored factory lights that have water streaks down the inside of them and look horrible when the headlights are on...................

My aftermarket ones say Depot on the upper left side of the driver side headlight so far so good its been 8 months

When I had my Crown Vic Sport, I replaced the headlights with Depo brand from Certifit. They looked and functioned like new for the two years I had the car. Certifit does some mail order for like lights and such, They also have a store with counter service in KC, MO..Call first if you go, as they do not stock everything they carry online in every store. **Update, I just searched and only come up with corner lamps for Marauder**

The "Depo" brand lights seems to be pretty decent from everyone I have heard that uses them. Alot of CV guys use them..

I ordered a set of OEM headlights via Tousley Ford website a month ago. Came out to just over $300 including shipping. If you go this route, take the 5 seconds needed to enter your VIN; saved me from getting the wrong part. When I ordered mine, even though I selected the correct assemblies, apparently one of the links was a bad one...my order had an assembly for a Marauder and one for a Marquis. They called me the same day wondering why I placed such an order; told them I was ordering for a MM and selected the parts through the website. They corrected on the spot; if I hadn't entered my VIN, I would've ended up with the wrong part.

Yes, there are cheaper alternatives, but if you pay half as much for something you might replace twice as often, what are the gains? JMHO...
