I keep my '04 Sport outside under a California Car Cover (Noah). The cover helps a lot but when I take the cover off I'd like to hit the car with a quick detail spray. Any suggestions on what kind? My car is midnight grey which is a dark grey. The cover leaves a little something behind, not sure if its fibers or what but I notice it on the glass. I figured a quick wipe down would bring it back up to just washed standards. If the Marauder guys use it then I know I'll be happy with it. Thanks.

The "Original California Duster" might also be an option.

I like Lucas Spray Detailer. Can use wet of dry. Same Lucas name that makes Lucas oil products
I use croftgate and love it!
If you can't get croftgate then I would use ICE! I have used ICE for years with great results and love the stuff!

ICE as in Turtle Wax ICE product line, just in case you didn't know what ICE meant.
I use Meguiars, Mothers or Turtle Wax ICE. With a light silver car, even a wipe down with a damp micro fiber towel makes mine shine.

On wax- Griot's SpeedShine
On sealant- FinishKare FK425 or (for better cleaning) FK146

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I think I'll grab a bottle of ICE and give that a shot first, I know I can find that local. I've watched those videos on Croftgate it looks good but that stuff needs to be ordered right? Or can it be had locally? DOOM I know your car looks great. It looked flawless inside the garage under lights when we did your pedal gear, I was impressed.

I have used the Zaino Z6 for many years but I believe the Poorboys is better, plus the added bonus that you can apply in direct sunlight.
Plus it smells awesome.

I'd use the California Duster first on the horizontal surfaces.
My Galaxie and 2003 TBird are both garaged and covered, and, I still wouldn't use a detailer without ensuring that fine grit/dust hasn't settled, especially on the black retro Bird.
Just a personal opinion.
Then, I use Meguiars detailer.

another option is adams waterless wash. When wiping a car down cause of dust u need to use a product that has proper lubricants to stop maring and swirls. I wipe my cars down daily with watelress wash and twice a week with there detail spray to extend the wax application and add some extra shine if needed.

There are a lot of good detail sprays on the market and i have tried several over the years. My favorites are Z-6 and FK 425....
FK425 by the gallon is hard to beat.....

I had a Noah cover on mine and it always left very fine dirt on the car. When the cover would billow up in the wind and shift about it ended up scratching the paint on the horizontal/vertical edges and wore my perfect headlight lenses. I took the cover off and now just deal with the dirty car as needed. I would highly recommend if you wish to continue to use your cover you take it to a commercial laundromat and give it a good wash a couple times a year. Let it dry on the car.
As for detailer spray I have tried all the ones available at Wallyworld and find they all do a similar job. One of them though has a nice cinnamon smell (comes in a tan bottle). Might be the Meguiars.

I tried to buy the croftgate but it was too hard. Found the Meguiers versions, and bought the wash (soap) with the super new techno sealer and hydosuspension-crap, the dry wash with the hydo-crap and Lubrosity crap, and the carnuba, hydro, lubrosity-crap spray (HECK I SHOULD DO THIER COMMERCIALS!), as I have always liked Meguiers (even if I cant spell thier name).
My car was already clean/washed that day (85 miles and three light to light and a freeway on ramp two lane full out Marauder vs Marauder race) earlier, so I used the dry-wash w hydrocrap to get all the days attachements off, and then the spray wax... and I have to say.... DAAAAMMMMNNN! it was amazing.
Not sure I'd ever trust ANY dry-wash product from a dirty state... ever... but from a not so dirty starting point, I was amazed.
Can wait to wash it with the Hydocrap sealant wash and then proceed.
Paint looked like a pool of black oil (maybe not a great auto visual refference)... and you couldn't really tell where the color ended or started. was amazing.

I agree! If you ask nicely, they'll even send you a free sample with your Croftgate order. I believe it was a 4oz or 6 oz spray bottle that I got.
