I got a set of these a while back (still sitting there in the box..) and I did not get them coated. Rethinking that, I do want to have them coated before installation.

Noting that I'm in your general area of Ohio...do you have any preferences regarding where to have the coating done? I have a local powdercoating shop that offers "ceramic" header coating, but I want this done right the first time and reducing underhood temperatures is as important as the cosmetics.

When choosing a ceramic coating service, make sure they can prep and coat 304 stainless steel and carry a minimum temperature rating of 1300° +. We currently use Calico coatings, with a temperature rating of 1600°.

Available for 1998-02 Ford Crown Vic. 1-5/8" headers and 2.5" catback for excellent power w/o losing low end torque. Sound is awesome with a deep rumble at idle but sound opens up on full throttle for a clean and crisp sound.

Thanks for the info.

When I did a (not-too-involved) search on Calico, I didn't see them being close to our part of Ohio...do you ship them out somewhere?
