I still regularly play my Saturn, and at heart am a Sega fanboy. If you get an s-video output cable, it looks absolutely brilliant, especially sprite-based games (obviously the polygon-based games look a little dated the majority of the time in comparison).

I had an original PSX back in the day, and never heard much about the Saturn then, but now owning one, I can pretty safely say I'm more fond of the Saturn than I was of my PSX.

Also, installing a mod-chip in my Saturn was hilariously easy as far as solder jobs go. With an Action Replay Plus cart for the unit and the modchip, it will play any game written for any region of Saturn.



Long of the short of it, for anyone considering buying it: Saturns are excellent older gaming machines. :)
