Pm Zack at TheChicagoGarage.com on the marauder forum. $300 for installation sounds about right from a legitimate shop.

$300.0 sounds right as they might have to remove the intake or tranny.

Definitely the intake, maybe the tranny as well, depending on the kit style.

There is no reason what so ever to remove the trans on a Marauder for a rear cooling mod, your simply removing the rear freeze plugs behind the intake manifold (which must be removed) and installing your cooling mod fittings.

Remove the tranny? that's only for that DR useless kit. The other kit just involves the removal of the intake and takes probably under 2 hours to complete.

Jonsun I saw you sent me a PM but couldn't read cause my box was full. Resend I can receive now.

That was Reinharts old kit (6 years ago?) New one uses a nice billet machined piece, with o-ring and a keeper bracket that goes into the rear head freeze plugs - top of engine. You do need to pull the upper and lower to get to it. Also recommended new lower intake gaskets.

Granted Dennis can be hard to deal with, but it is a good kit.

I will admit. DRs current rear cooling mod is top notch.

Heres my rear cooling mod with MMR -10 fittings feeding off the heater core, i still need to add a fitting to the braided line coming from the heater core.

Did you make your plugs that bolt to the heads or is this someone else' design?

Those are -10 fittings from Modular Mustang Racing (MMR) they cost about $119.

On3 stuff is better than anything MMR makes IMHO.

If you have a kit that installs at the rear of the heads instead of the top, removing transmission might help. But it's not needed for the top mounted style.

I've heard of one fellow installing this cooling mod without removing the upper and lower intakes, Can this be done?

Yes, just remove the wiper cowl. :) Possible but not easy. Better is to remove upper and lower, should take all of 15 mins.
