Welcome to MM.net!

Should be a decal on the inside of the passenger side trunk mount with the code.

If not, the manual tells how to customize the code.

You can't reset the factory code but you can add up up to 4 or 5 personal codes on it on top of the factory code.

The manual will tell you how to add a personal code.

Not trying to steal the thread but if anyone can let me know how to add a personal code that would be greatly appreciated. I did not receive a manual with my car when i got it. Thanks

As stated...if you take the driver's door panel off, the code number will be on a white sticker on part of the inner door frame...or at least mine was on my DTR.
I do understand that sometimes it can be found on the trunk lid supports or under the dash on the computer module...but mine was not in any of those locations.

Pull the driver door panel off the stock code is on the lock module ...thats all you need to set your own code(s)

IF you have a friend at a Ford dealership, have them pull the code with their computer. I am pretty sure they can erase all previous codes except the factory installed code associated with the PATS module. If your PATS module has been changed, there is a good chance that the stickers that came with the car, located in the manual, trunk, etc may not have been changed.

Step 1
The Factory Code is printed on a sticker on a module behind the drivers door panel, or affixed to the gas spring arm on the right side of the trunk's interior.

Step 2
Enter the five-digit factory-programmed code into the keypad on the outside of the driver's door.

Step 3
Press the "1-2" button immediately after the factory code has been entered. This must be pressed within five seconds. This will activate the code-setting mode for the personal code.

Step 4
Enter your preferred five-digit personal code. Make sure that you press the first button within five seconds of initiating the process and press each subsequent button within five seconds of the one before it, otherwise the code-setting mode will time out.

Step 5
Look and listen for the power door locks to cycle on and off. This is a signal from the vehicle confirming that the personal code has been changed.

I use a hammer to unlock my doors.

I use a $40 laptop and auto enginuity software to change codes, burn ford code keys, even reprogram the security on the old Lincolns that my friends $6,000 snap on unit has trouble with. Very useful and has real time streaming of data from all inputs.
