Hey folks!!! I got a saggy door! I found tons of lower door pins, but no upper ones (I'm aware I need to cut it with a Dremel tool)
Anyone know of GOOD HIGH QUALITY pins and bushings someone has used?
THANKSSSSSSS

In order to replace the upper hinge, the dash has to be removed. I believe you can get by with replacing the lower hinge.

Ive never had to replace them on a Marauder, any good body shop be able to supply the bushings, or repair it for you.

I just want to know if the upper and lower pins are the same. I know I need to cut the top pin and hammer it out, the new pin has a retaining thing on the bottom

I had the sagging driver side door problem on my P71 Crown Vic a few years ago & the body shop that replaced both door hinges said that it really was a PITA & may have to charge more $$$ for the next one.

I see videos online... They cut the old pins out, and slide the new ones in.....
Are the pins the same size for top and bottom?

No clue if the top and bottom are the same size, I've always replaced the whole hinge. You don't have to take the dash out of the car, just roll it back towards the seats, I've done many, it's time consuming, but no big deal.

Great info, how do you roll it back... How many screws? Locations?

I am getting a nasty creaking sound from the driver's lower hinge. Door doesn't appear to sag, but that noise can't be a good sign. I guess it is just part of these cars getting old. :(
I should probably buy some new hinges before they are No Longer Available. Although being generic Panther parts probably not the same issue as rear bumper covers.

Keep them lubricated.

Keep them lubricated.
It appears to be a problem with the detent roller. While spraying it with white lithium grease may quiet it up for awhile (and I will try this), I'm not sure that is a real solution.

I beg to differ - the bodyshop I work for JUST hung doors on a Grand Marquis and the only hidden fastener was a single nut in the lower kick panel for the front lower hinge. I watched the tech remove the whole door while the fender was off. The top hinge has two bolts and a nut.

Midnight: looks like a great topic for a DIY how-to narrative and pix, then make it a sticky. I think my 04 SB is going through same door hinge issue.

The hinge PN is 6W1Z-5422800-A. I am holding one in my hand. The top hinge has a stud that goes through and is fastened with a nut behind the dash. However, this stud is nutted to the hinge ass'y and is removable. I would probably remove the fender which is easier than fiddling with adjusting a hinge that is inaccessible.
