I just wanted to post a thread on how i modified an 03/04 cobra fuel hat to fit the Marauder!

Pretty simple actually i got some billet stock and made an L bracket to properly locate the fuel pumps (Walbro 400lph) and bent some stainless steel hard lines to help hold the pumps in place, im running -8 fuel line, and -8 return, the hat comes with a -10 fuel line fitting, but i didnt need a feed line that big.

In order to properly clock the hat to line up with the fuel tank bolt holes the fittings and plug ended up pointing straight down which was fine, im connecting 90* fittings from the hat to the braided lines.

This setup is good for over 1,000hp which is more than ill ever need:burnout:

I just got an Email from Zack and my main concern was comfirmed, the fuel socks should be running side to side, and not front to back which was my main concern of running the fuel basket dry inside the tank!
Ill have to Address this immediately!

Big shout out to Zack for catching that excellent eye!

Honestly i could modify another, but i gets pricey with all the fittings and time that goes into it.

The hat was $400 and with the fitings, tubing, and labor , not to mention the billet stock i easily put another $400 into it.

Looks good. The universal screen I got for my single 255lph pump was easily twice the size of one of the screens on yours. Big pumps should need big screens - yes? I think it was $5 on Rockauto. Not sure if this matters but thought I'd mention it.

I always use a tiny aero model vic screen on 255's at 450hp and BAP with zero issues.

The smaller the surface area for a given filtration the quicker it becomes clogged. A return system circulates a lot of fuel.
