CT Meet April 28th

A buddy of mine is organizing an event that has been pretty successful in the past. We call it Cars and Burgers. I'm usually the only "big" car there and I drown in an ocean of Hondas, Acuras, and Japanese automobiles. We usually run this event in the fall.

Maybe the McDonalds just off of exit 3A on I95 in Richmond, RI? After a quick use of the Google machine, it looks like you'll both be coming from that direction anyhow. Be there around 10:45-11:00? That will give us time to B.S. for a few minutes before getting back on the road and a 45 minute cruise to Mohegan from that point.

That works for me I shoot for 11:00 I just wish I had money for some aeros before this little meet up. I saw one on a members ride (MERC) I so want a set now .

Food in the AM might not be a bad idea. The whole event is called Cars and Burgers, so getting something at the McD's might be overkill for later on. There is a Dunkin within spitting distance of our mini meet.

When I get together with this group, there's usually people staring at my car. I'll get the occasional nice Crown Vic :shake: or even one guy trying to brag to his girlfriend "That's a Mercury Cougar. It has the same engine as the Police Interceptors" :lol:

I need an exhaust on this car badly. I will be washing and waxing it on Friday and then garaging it for the night. Going to vacuum the inside on Saturday morning. I expect we should be turning a few heads. I want to clean the engine bay also. Need to replace the hood struts first, and find a tooth brush

My to do list before this meet: Lower Grill Mod, make my own Diamond plate air dams, and S55 the rear lights. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me.

I don't recall. He still needs a few parts to make it work though. Namely the radiator and the fittings. This thing is going to be a monster.

Well, sorry guys but you will have to remove me from the attendees list for the 28th. last night I asked my wife if she wanted to join me and she reminded me it's my 5 year old grandson's birthday party Sunday from 11-2. Guess the ball pit and bouncey house wins out.

Next meet, we should go to Mew's Taven in Wakefield, RI. Over 70 beers on tap and they have this massive pile of meat that they call the Mt Everest burger

There will be a few vics joining us and then the host of the meet will be coming back from the Saturday Rooftop Car Show in Boston at the same time, so we'll have probably 10 or so vehicles cruising to Mohegan from RI, with most of them being Panthers from the sound of it!

Car is washed, might need two passes with the clay bar though. Doesn't look or feel like it's ever been done before. Then polishing and waxing. Finally I'm remove the wheels and clean them by hand. Parking it in the garage tonight. It's going to be a long night but it's going to look awesome tomorrow. Bringing the California duster and quick detailer with me in the morning
