I've noticed that a couple of my outer door belt moldings are starting to bubble under the surface so I'd like to replace them.
On the Motorcraft site they show up as follows:

FR RH: 21452 $56.53
FR LH: 21453 $50.28
RR RH: 25860 $47.43
RR LH: 25861 $48.47

I really don't want to pay $200 for these.
Any idea if there is a cheaper place to get them?

Thanks!

Try tascaparts.com. I replaced mine last summer and if I recall I spent prolly $50.00 less or so. It's sort of hard to locate them but list your car 03/04 Mercury Marauder, then the categories that come up, pick body hardware, then front door for front and rear door for rear, then pick exterior trim. They are called "belt w' strip". I just looked and I think they all come up around $40.00 each with some being less.

Ok, this is what I put in my 'cart' at Tasca:

body hardware, front door, exterior trim, belt wstrip right $37.31
body hardware, front door, exterior trim, belt wstrip left $33.19
body hardware, rear door, exterior trim, belt wstrip right $37.17
body hardware, rear door, exterior trim, belt wstrip left $40.48
total: $148.15
shipping: $16.30
Grand Total: 164.45

It says I saved $76.31 vs list price.
I think this will work for me.

Thanks for the Tasca suggestion.

I will be looking to replace all mine real soon as this was something the body shop highly suggested I changed out before the car got repainted. Thanks!!

ok, now we've located the parts - how are they installed?
I see that there are nuts under the door flanges - remove them and then what?
Does the trim slide to release?

Yes, you undo the one nut and basically pull up, there are little clips on the molding itself..When they arrive, you will see them so as to get a better idea. The rear doors are piece o cake. the front doors are easy to, but I fought with drivers side trying to slide the rubber under the mirror and get it far enough forward to pop in place. Nothing to reuse from old molding except the nut.

Make sure the windows all the way down take the nut off and if you have something made out of plastic from the kitchen that you can use to pry up a bit on it without damaging the paint, then kind of roll it back and fourth while pulling up you should have no problem.
