ua paint 97/vs ua paint 03

hey all, was backing out of the drive way yesterday to go to mville and ran into a pipe sticking up in my yard. I was a little ambarrased so I stayed home and stewed. My question is about the ua black paint on a 97 gm vs the ua black on my 03 mm. I know they have the same paint code but the hue looks different so I am not sure to pick up the door I found to replace my door. Does anyone know more about this? I know that black is black but Ford had a lot of different blacks. Need help please!

Maybe 2ndmm should consider having paint color matched?

Door and part of the car will probably both need to be painted to look like factory again, think they call it "blending" when they do that. Im not s painter but worked at a bodyshop for a long time...maybe a painter can chime in, But if you have a black door you won't have to do the jams :)
