Marauderville XI Hotel Registration

Good Evening everyone, having just completed the Louisville meet (Great job again Mike, you make it better every year, and I have no idea how you do it. Great Job) I am happy to share the same information shared with the Louisville group last night.

First off, below is the link to the Hotel to register your room. The Hotel is actually 2 Hotels in the same parking lot. One is a Hampton Inn. Rooms are available here for $99 a night beginning on Wednesday night.

The second Hotel is Homewood Suites, owned and operated by the same Hotel, we have 30 Suites blocked at $109 a night.

There are 3 Waffles Houses within a couple miles, Discover Mills Outlet Mall across the street, Arena Tavern, Carrabas and Marlowes around the corner, and more. I will post more about the Hotel and the area this week and look for another thread laying out what we have planned.

This years motto is Southern Comfort and is dedicated to a great man and great Marauder owner, our own dear Paul Casey whome we lost earlier this year.

I'm staying at one as we speak in Houston, got all the alcohol I needed plus a pretty good meal, all free. For the record, my company is paying over $150/night for the one I'm staying in, so $109 is a good deal.

Yeah, it's a great deal, for both hotels really, just had to take the allotment of trims they had available, but trust me, we are able to grill at the Hampton any good we would like, there is tons of seating inside and out and there will be booze available no matter where you stay

Where in MO are you located? Are you close to SW MO? I am north of Little Rock about an hour. I plan on attending a generic car/truck event in SW MO this June - maybe the 9th? Not sure of the event name. Several of the guys who will be attending wanted me to drive my DTR up there instead of my '68 Merc M250 truck or my freshened '76 F-250 Highboy. Maybe you could make this event and we can have a Mini Marauder gathering. I will get some info and share soon.

I do look forward to picking some peoples brains on the list in Atlanta. There is a wealth of knowledge in this group and I need to hear and see where the driving and mod limitations are first hand before I jump in head first. I need to study different header and exhaust combos for my tastes. I need to experience some Eaton equipped MM's and learn more in person.......I will mod the dog out of mine in a few years with $ and learning. I am Slow to decide at times and I know this crew can offer many perscriptions and sell the pros and cons before I decide. I have made several car/truck friends on various forums through the last 15 years and I have always found each group to be some of the best peeps you will ever meet. Car guys tend to be good honest people! This site is no different, in fact, this is the tightest forum group I have seen and that makes it all very cool. Not a common find in todays list serve forums.

An update. There seems to be a challenge with the link to book at the Hampton as far as it is showing the wrong rate. I am working on having this fixed, in the mean time, you can call the hotel direct with the group code

MXI to secure the rate. If you have already booked at the Hampton an received the wrong rate, please PM me do I can make sure the correct rate is charged. Thank you

Looks like around $10 per night more for each hotel, but it may be real tough to get a room at either place as we've got pretty good-sized blocks plus the regular weekend volume.

That said, if you can't get in at either of those, there are a couple other hotels fairly close by.

It shouldn't be a problem unless they have sold out on the 18th, worse case scenario that might have to move you to the Hampton. Call the Hotel and speak to Erin Ritchie, she is out coordinator and can help

Another Bump and reminder hotel block ends one week from Wednesday on September 4th.

This not only entails losing our rate, it opens up the rooms to the general public, while we filled our room block at Honewood, they did sell out at least one of the nights, so I would expect Hampton rooms to fill quick once the block is lifted
