I know this car needs some work, but, I bought it right and instead of making payments to a bank, I can put a little here and there (hopefully not alot more after replacing suspension and a couple other things initially) and bring her back to life!

Here is a few pics (now we have a baseline...LOL)!:P

Mods I noticed and just learned about:
CAI, Kooks Headers, Catted X-Pipe, aftermarket mufflers (brand?), larger rear chrome tips, 4.10's, some kind of tune, slotted and drilled rotors & aftermarket Upper and Lower Control arms and Watts Link (Metco?).

So, I probably will be posting a ton of questions (some probably dumb) on here!

Thanks for your help so far! :burnout:

Thanks. I will check it out. I will also need a EATC or rebuild the one I have. I saw a sticky on it so I will check that out.

Eventually, I will be looking for front and rear bumpers... But, that is eventually! LOL!!

Congrats on the new ride! I'm curious about the interior picture you posted. Is there some sort of shifter/cup holder trim in place there? Can't tell if it's a weird light angle but it looks like there is a an aftermarket piece shrouding the shifter and cup holder.

Thanks

Thanks! The sellers were cool enough to let me pay to have the car towed to a dealership repair shop and I paid them to go over it briefly. While it was there, I decided to get some magnets at the local ACE and went over all my "suspect areas" and pulled up the carpet as best I could without messing it up and I could find NO indications of an accident in the trunk area and only minor bondo in the quarters (I am not a trained professional, but feel much better after the magnet and trunk inspection!). So really, I just need to replace the front and rear bumpers at some point.

Btw I have the same janky stereo double din wanna be looking kit. Flip it where the slim rectangle cubby hole is on top and it sits better...then save for nice nav unit😃

I got your back! :P Although, if I had the time, I would by the air bag kit and do it myself. It didn't look that hard when I had the left rear tire off trying to plug a nail hole. For now, I think I will just go with the coil spring deal. One less headache, cheaper and quicker. I haven't even driven this on the road yet! The previous owner took ME for a ride and holy crap was I impressed.

I kinda liked the Strutmaster kits. They use Eibach Springs, FWIW.

It's actually a dark ash wood trim (or something like that). I thought it was stock until I visited this site. :P Looks good. I will take some better pics in the next day or two.

The car drove great for my first time behind the wheel. Nice firm shifts, no noises and tracked straight as an arrow. I did find the old oil change sticker on the floor that said it was due on 01/02/13. So, my guess is that the oil got changed in October, just before the tags expired and they decided to park it.

Tomorrow, I will drive it to the Ford store for an oil change and a fuel filter. The trans fluid looks good. But, I still will probably go back and get a coolant flush and trans flush soon.

Many thanks for all of your help to make this a reality for me. I am soooo excited to be a Marauder owner! :woohoo:
