Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery of a MM?

Here is what I had discovered today while I was cruising just south of West Palm Beach,Fl. A Marauder clone. At least to its credit, it didn't use Marauder specific parts :confused: :shake:

No. Marauder parts are getting impossible to find, and those that can be found are way overpriced. Good Marauder-specific parts should not be wasted making a clone.

I agree with you, but as I had said prevoiusly, this example has "the look" of an MM, but has not used any Marauder specific parts in the making of this car in particular. I would had liked to talk to the owner if he or she was around.

In retrospect, the term "clone" may be a bit harsh on my part. It has the "sinister look" of a black MM, but I looked over the car, inside & outside & there was no MM parts used in it. It kind of grew on me & wouldn't mind having this for a DD. The picture I had of the rear wouldn't upload here, but it did use the Grand Marquis bumper cover painted body color, but it looks like it had a CVPI trunk lid & tail lights. Would a "tribute" version of the MM be more correct? :help:

My thought too. It's a bit of a clone, sure, but overall the car looks pretty good.
