Gents,
I just dropped my 300A off at the dealer for the following reasons...
When the car was 100% stock, I was headed home from a 45 min drive, in the cold and snow (was when I first got the car). Cruising at 45mph the O/D light started flashing and I noticed I was in 3rd not 4th gear... Shut the car off and it never returned.
About a month ago I purchased the LIDIO tune... Loved it. No issues at all...
However last Friday I went down to Woodward to check out the street scene. I did not beat on the car at all, more like parked and watched people get pulled over for a few hours.
When I got on the highway I got on it... crisp 1-2 shift as expected and backed out of the throttle and shifted into 3rd. That is where it got interesting. It would not shift into 4th.. not just lock up... literally did not shift to 4th...
So I slowed down and dropped it into 2nd, and back to D. Still would just stay in 3rd, tried O/D switch... nothing. Moved shifter to N and back to D and it dropped right into 4th gear and continued to work just fine entire way home.
I am wondering if its just shifter adjustment, sometimes I gotta 'bump' the handle to get it to engage reverse (like shifter is off a bit)
Another thing I noticed is with the tune, the shifts no longer felt very crisp, I broke the tires loose on the 1-2 when I first put the tune in, not anymore however this could be the placebo effect...
Since I am trying to sell the car I wanted to repair this at minimal cost to me since I have an extended warranty, I did not want to sell a car with an issue. I do not need bad KARMA!
So my question is... What is everyone thoughts? I can provide more information if needed. Really hoping dealer calls me and tells me its covered whatever it is!!!
Fluid was bright red with very little material in it when I bought the car ~1000 miles ago.
BTW the car with a stock tune and a stock intake is not fun. Trans hunting to get locked up, hate that stock tune! On a bright note however two people were interested in the car and almost everyone else in the service bay complimented me on the paint and how clean the car was. They said they would keep it inside for me over night..... I hope so else I will have a fun filled week of cleaning the car when I get it back. Was sad to take it out on wet roads today even!!!
