Window Malfunction? 2004 Marauder

ok guys just got my 2004 mercury marauder tinted out 2day about 8 hours ago, my buddy just now rolled down the passenger side window and it wont go back up!! Wut should I do? I know they say not to roll down the windows after tint..but hey we all make mistakes it wont go up on driver panel or passenger panel control either. Thanks

hmmm check fuses.... sounds like someone used a bit to much of the window cleaner, possibly shorted a circuit.

Thanks buddy kinda sounded like a cracking noise when he rolled it down

Hmmm.. I wonder if the tint peeled and bound the track up. Does it make any noise at all when you try to operate it from either panel?

No not at all but it does sound that way now that i think about it

Well if someone kept trying to operate it after it was nice and stuck... could of popped a fuse or hurt the motor... Should be able to help it up after the motor cools if it didn't crap itself if it was the tint that caused the problem.

If it made that noise then I'd bet the regulator / motor assembly needs to be replaced. If the other windows work then it's not a fuse.

I'd pull the door panel and check.

If you turn on lights and press the window button and see if the lights dim if not the fuse may be bad if light stays on . I had this happan to my window a few weeks back it was my master swicth replaced it with a used one from a member here and worked like a champ

+1 they might have spilled too much window cleaner/water onto your master switch when installing the tint.
