broken body panel

The piece that goes between the grille and the hood. Tascaparts call it the "front panel" and wants $316 for it, probably unpainted. :(

Anyone know of a black one available, or if the CV/GM piece is the same? It's #1 in the diagram below.

I'm quite certain the GM header panel is the same since Marauder and Marquis share same grille shape and headlight shape. CV grille and headlights differ.

I had mine recently replace after an encounter with a deer. They tried aftermarket, it did not fit well at all. We had to go OEM. Just my experience.

I replaced mines with an OEM ,the aftermarket fitment is not good!

03-05 Grand Marquis is the same. Crown Vics are different.

When I first posted, I was under the (mistaken) impression that this was just a "trim" or "cosmetic" piece. i didn't realise it was the whole megillah that holds up the grill and the headlights, etc. I guess $316 for OEM from tasca isn't a bad price after all, so I'm-a go that route.
