Prolly have better luck finding parts over at svtperformance or one of the other Mustang sites.

That, or stuff comes up on e-Bay regularly.

Not necessarily, unless you have to have them ASAP. If you're patient, you can find good deals on the above sites or on ebay or even craigslist.

Minimum, figure four to six weeks to get everything. I planned an 18 month timeline to get all my stuff, ended up taking 14, but it was "pay as you go" for me.

Also, good deals will take some time to search out, and diligence on your part. I spent an average of 2 hours per night parts hunting on the Internet; actually, that ended up being one of the best parts of the swap; you learn a lot and end up meeting tons of good folks when you're "Eaton picking."

I guess being patient is the best way to go about it. I just didn't want the already hard to find parts impossible to find.

Sorry, the pic that I was trying to paste in there obviously had problems.:o

It was supposed to read: "Fast, Cheap, Good. Pick Any Two."

Yes, be patient and take your time searching for parts. Word of advice, track down the hard to find parts first, and get the blower last, they're the easiest things to find.

FWIW, the single most difficult part for me was the intercooler manifold and nipples. If you find one on e-bay or wherever for $100 or less, GRAB IT!...;)

Good luck, and keep us posted.

Dear browardco,

$500 shipped with the supercharger, throttle body, tps, reservoir, injectors, and the mass air housing with the sensor, elbow.

^^^^ this is what I purchased so far. Thought it was a good price so I jumped on it. Lower manifold & intercooler will be my next purchase but prices or on high end.

No problem with that for sure, decent price for some bundled parts, definitely worth jumping on.

Nope. It's a small casting that bolts to the front of the intercooler, it routes coolant into and out of the intercooler.

Hopefully you'll be able to locate a used one, if not, they're still available through Ford, but OEM pricing is north of $400 for the casting, SS nipples and o-rings.

Ok the adapter.. He quoted me $200 for the adapter hoses and hardware

I hope you added the mandatory minimum of 30% for extras. Not kidding.

Although I went into the unknown with my 6sp. I actually came in well under budget thanks to that. My short block, fuel system, cams, and heads I ended up blowing the budget to Mars.. And I'm still ordering stuff now that I'm done..

Seriously, you really can't factor in the small stuff, wrong stuff, or the broken stuff. The last eaton swap that was mostly "complete" that I did went an additional $1,300 over. It happens, so plan accordingly.

I agree. Before ordering anything. Im spending a few hours a day researching all mandatory parts and finding the best deals. My goal is to complete the supercharge assembly from the lower manifold to the blower before moving on....I have a parts list that I'm using sent to my from a member. I plan to purchase the costly and hard to find stuff first and if I find smaller parts needed at a good price ill jump on. My budget for the mandatory stuff is 2K with a total budget of 3K

This ^^^ is ^^^ true!

A good AFR gauge is ~$250.00 with the preferred choice being Autometer.

The 3 gauges I went with, all Automemter, set me back ~$750.00 including the A Pillar pod.

I had just under $4,000 in mine, and that was with various wheeling, dealing, and bartering.

I'd budget $4,000 - $4,500 and have a little contingency saved over and above that.

DAYUM. I insist on a grand plus any and all extras. Plus i won't do it unless given three weeks.. I have way too much other stuff going on and refuse to dedicate time for just one car. if I need to order something, then I am faced with downtime, and that doesn't pay. He is hooking you up big time. But sounds like it is owed.

He doesn't have a huge shop and sometimes plenty of time to spare plus I'm goin to give him a hand just to make sure he's not rushing. It has to be done correctly and no short cuts. Everyday for that entire week ill spend a few hours before I go to work to give him a had. Most of my co-workers are now his customers as well as family n friends. He also installed a procharger on a friends crown Vic. For $700 although I don't think that requires as much work as an eaton swap

That's about 1/2 the going rate for a swap. Either he's doing you a BIG favor, or he doesn't realize the work involved. By "work" I don't mean difficult, just time consuming. I'd estimate 18 to 25 hours (time on tools) to do a swap. What's his hourly shop rate, $20???

Keep in mind there's more to it than just pulling off OEM parts and bolting on new stuff; some parts fabrication is also required to do one of these in a Marauder.

He doesn't have a shop hourly rate.... He doesn't own a big business, and as states before he a local mechanic that I've known for year and I've helped when he was swamped with work. "Free" with his expertise about cars and my knowledge on details should work work out. Fabrications includes extending wire harnessing, battery relocation, routing cooling tubes, grinding down components for S/C clearance, modifying COT, BP BAP wiring and routing, boost gauge. Fuel pump. Thanks to this forum and the guys who've done the swap I'm getting more familiar with what needs to be done and expected although I still have many question to ask ill wait til it's crunch time.
And as far as the mechanic goes installed a few turbo setups and recently installed a procharger on a buddy's 02 crown vic.

I also know a transmission specialist that charges $1200 to beef up our cars trans. Internally. Bigger valve body, Teflon bands, shift kit, external cooler, etc all included with the price. Rebuilt my 03 MGM trans from 4r70w to 4r75w specs. Completed the job in 4 hours since he has great workers and builds them daily. Contracted with local PD and postal and knows our transmission well.
