ABS light still on. Ok after bleeding brakes changing pad & rotors, followed by the master braker cyl & then bleed it kit kit that cam with new one...
Then light was still on & comp said the ABS module so I sent it out to Cali & had it redone. It is now reinstalled & although the peddle has some feel there is still no power braking..
Any idea's guys...
I can only think to change the vacuum Brake Booster now... Anyone know where I can get one at a reasonable price... considering the entire brake system in now redone more or less...
Help plz

I am assuming you have already checked for sufficient vacuum? And you are not hearing any leaks?

Did you have the ABS pump bled?
You need a special scan tool to cycle the pump.

If just the electronic portion of the ABS module was removed and replaced, no bleeding is required.
If the entire ABS unit was removed, it will need to go to a dealer and be cycled with an IDS tool, and have the brakes bled.
I wouldn't imagine the brake booster would all the sudden decide to quit, but it is a car, failures happen.

Its at a buddies shop & although only the electronic portion of the abs module was removed we used his quite expensive Snap-on computer that functions like the dealer's on the vehicle.
I got a new vacuum booster in & currently painting to match theme of car engine bay (black)...
I hope this cures it.. need brakes...
even have the ss. hosing at caliper's. can't imagine what could be the isuse still... We have not corrected the origional isuse of the ABS light being on... & b4 there was no ABS functioning while driving but there was braking... even if a lil hard & low peddle

Check all the ABS sensors at the wheels. There are some members that have had a rear sensor bolt come loose.

We checked & tightened the abs wheel sensors prior to changing anything else... so I doubt that..

A couple of things.........
I don't know if the Snap On Modis will cycle the ABS pump, I have not looked into that tool enough to have that info. Although, if you have a ABS light on, there should be a code stored for the system.
Also, the brakes will work with the light on, you will lose all ABS functions and traction control functions.
It is possible that there is a internal leak on the master cylinder, and, the master cylinder is specific (so I am told) for your car, as it has ABS/TC.
And a last question, do you have a line loc installed on this vehicle? If so, where is it installed at, i.e., before or after the ABS pump.

Good call on the line lock. That will wreak havoc on an 04 if not hooked up right.
Did you ever mighty vac the booster, EGR, vacuum manifold on the firewall, or the storage box on the drivers side inner fender?

Thanks for possibilities to consider...
There is no line lock. FYI
master cylinder was changed after the ABS light came on. (& bleed)
Yes there was braking, but no ABS/TC with abs light on as stated...
I was told the Snap on tool is the expensive one that does everything the Ford dealr can do on his computer for this...
Still no braking however I am almost done with the black enamel paint going on the new vacuum booster... getting rdy for 3rd coat & just about all covered properly... was alot of oil in metal at start... made painting prep difficult.

Did you ever mighty vac the booster, NO, but primed it after replacing for new.
EGR, doesn't exactly function... *( may have a solid gasket at connection...:)
vacuum manifold on the firewall, I haven't seen anything disconnected. Problem started while drivving as daily driver.
or the storage box on the drivers side inner fender? NOT SURE WHAT U ARE REFERRING TO...
I answered ur questions above in red or blue. hopefully once new painted vaccum booster installed the ABS will work & light will go away

A vacuum issue will not make the ABS light come on, you either have an electrical issue or a problem with the pump itself.
Does the car have any mods, if so, what are they?

I'm more or less addressing the no power brakes. Correct, vacuum isn't related to ABS.

Right, IIRC, this car has a "lot" of mods motor wise, I may be wrong though....
I'm thinking that there is air in the ABS pump.

I stand corrected, the Solus will cycle the ABS pump on our cars, no more trips to the dealer for this......

I have the ABS T/C issue. Changed master cylinder. Lights are still on. Dealer said there is a TSB on the wiring loom that is behind the front bumper. Had them check it out. i was told my ABS control module is bad. Part # 3WZ2C219FA. Dealer can't find one in stock anywhere. Does someone out there have a spare electronic controller on a shelf out there? new or used would be fine. 705 264 0234 or kdmet@ntl.sympatico.ca Thanks. Kenny.

Ok... problem with brakes FINALLY solved...
It had been to 3 different shops & finally a ford dealer found the problem after 2weeks of work...
They much much like myself & other bleed the brakes (properly) manually & via the ford system. Brakes worked fine till next morning then squishy pedal again... The ABS electronic were sent out & rebuilt & the master brake cylinder was changed 3 times...
Eventually we found that the brake caliper had been installed upside down & poss on wrong side(s)... this allowed air to either leak in or an air bubble to get trapped... the situation is now corrected...
FYI to others her. even the dealership mechanics didn't think it was possible to install the brake caliper in wrong location... but apparently it is... & u will never be able to get/keep air out of brake system...

My father had ours sent out to California & electronic module attached to abs was rebuilt... This was a cheaper option.. I'll ask him for info for u.
