With 4.10 gears, what speed = what RPM? For example, my speedo reads 57 MPH and the tach reads 2000 RPM. Likewise, 65 MPH = ~2250 RPM and at 70 MPH = ~2450 RPM (not quite 2500 RPM). I have stock size tires front and rear. Does this sound right?

When I'm at 76-77mph, my tach is dead-on 2500 rpms.

Check your speed with a GPS.

Are you running on stock tire sizes?

Just adjust it in your tune and = fixed!

Problem is (believe it or not, but if you have followed some of my threads about buying this car... you'll believe it) the guy doesn't remember what tune the car has....

If you're running an OEM tune with 4.10 gears, your speedo's goning to be off by quite a bit.

As was mentioned above, check your speed against GPS.

Every car may be a bit different, but rule of thumb: with 4.10 gears, 75 mph = 2,500 rpm.

That's kind of what I was looking for. I am not super high tech and don't own or need a gps. But, back in the day, when I chaged out the gears in my Mark7's or Mustangs, I would try to get next to a car with a digital dash at night and go from there.... Seems to me I made a computer reference chart, but I will never be able to find it!

FYI there is some sort of tune in it...

I have it and use it on all of my older cars to check the accuracy of the speedos that cannot be recalibrated.
