On my way home today I did a high speed run and noticed above 100 I got a bad vibe in the driveline. Now I've been reading up on the upgraded drive shafts, But last year when I had my car out I didn't get a vibration. Obviously a failing u joint will cause this?

I didn't go fast after that. I would prefer not to catapault my car in the air when the drive shaft anchors Into the road.

Probably just a tire or in need of rebalancing.

Can you feel the vibration in the seat or steering wheel?

Jerry, it was great too meet you too. And Chris. Thanks for the compliment. I'm lucky to have that car. Like I said, its been my dream car since I was 12 years old. that silver bullet you got is a downright monster!

I feel it more in the seat. I can pretty much sense it in the driveshaft. It's hard to explain. I'm looking into new u-joints. I can hear one squeak from reverse to drive

The u joints in these cars are pretty stout. I would examine the pinion and axle bearings first.

Ok ill look into it. Might take it to alternative. They did the gears and bearings. See what they say.

Check tires for split belt. Check tire pressure. Check u joints & tail shaft bearing & seal. Balance all four use road force only. Remove all four wheels clean mating surface with wire brush. Use torque wrench to mount wheels. If none of above worked get drive shaft rebalanced. I would suggest a drive shaft loop cheap insurance.

The Marauder was supposed to get the PI drive shaft but the bean counters put a regular GM drive shaft in.

I was talking to Steve Babcock about this at MV9 and he was shocked that the drive shaft wasn't the PI one.

Some cars get the vibration at high speeds and some don't. It comes from the driveshaft not being very well balanced.

If you are going to do a lot of high speed driving I would suggest you get a better balanced one so like you say you don't become airborne when the tail shaft goes poof.:)

Check the tires first. That is usually the problem.

I'm gonna pick up a dynotech setup. I'm gonna put it in when I install my drive shaft loop.
This is a good excuse to upgrade..... After I check the tires
