Hey you guys that did the Ruby Red Reflective inserts, did you have transfer tape on the letters? I thought that they would be more reflective then this, but there doesn't seem to be any on them. Not knowing for sure I didn't want to force the issue and ruin them. Please help!!!!

Don't know what your really looking for as far as being reflective. The reflective part happens when headlights shine on the letters at night. You won't see this during the day. They just look like red lettering when installed. I put the white on mine and it really snaps out at you at night.

My Ford Blue reflective inserts didn't have anything on the face of the letters...I followed toddalanfisher's installation instructions (see other thread) and it worked great. The 3M reflective tape seems to only reflect back in the same direction the light is coming from, unlike a mirror, so you have to be at the right angle to see it. My wife was coming home the other night and caught the reflection from 3 houses away and thought it looked great...

I installed the Ruby-Red Reflective on my MM and it turned out great. It matches the lit taillights. Reflective when hit by following headlights, but a nice glossy, liquid appearance in the daytime.

Same here. I installed the ruby reds Saturday and got a little confused by the instructions. They seemed to indicate transfer tape was gonna be on the front of the letters, but it wasn't.

I was skeptical at first about the Windex on the adhesive side, but it worked great.

I am very well pleased with the result!

Thanks for your input everyone! I was just not wanting to ruin the letters trying to pull of something that wasn't on them!

Otherwise they look awesome!
