Check this Site they offer electric power steering for vehicles that weigh up to 4500lbs (mm is 4200 I believe) this wouldn't be a bad idea.... And I'm sure I'm gonna hear why do this the one that's on there is fine... Well I ask why not especially for us na guys its bound to free up some ponies and it may be worth a shot in conjunction with different wp maybe electronic wp let's discuss....

Have a 2011 F-150 FX4 5.0L weights 6487Lbs and it came with EPAS.

In fact all 2011+ F-150s have it.

So do you like how it steers or do you prefer the old style pump... And my mom bought a 13 escape ecoboost and it also has this

A better way to do this I think is to get an electric pump to pump the fluid to the rack. I believe Toyota MR2 pumps can be had cheap.

Saturn Outlook, Vues and their counterpart GM cars all have it as well.

But the question is what is involved with the wiring of those and the sensors plus something to consider those vehicles are a lot lighter would their pumps be able to uphold the abuse of a 2 ton car?
