View Full Version : No Air Blowing Out of ANY vents

I replaced o-rings a couple of months ago and everything has been working fine. This morning I have no hot or cold air coming out of any vents at all. I hear the doors opening and closing when I switch to and from floor/vents/defrost but I do not hear any air at all blowing.

I haven't had any time yet to check it out. Hopefully someone can chime in on where to start. Possibly a fuse? Blower gone bad?

Any tips would be great!

Thanks,
Pete

Gonna guess Blower Control Module.

Peck on the BCM with the handle of a screw driver or a LFH (new term)....sometimes they will work for a long time if this works at all!!;)

Good Luck!!

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me when my BCM crapped out last December. Tried the tap thing...no worky. I know where you can get a repaired BCM...FastBlackMerc....you might even end up getting mine.

Check fuse #15 (15A). If the fuse is good try tapping the BCM. If it works the BCM is bad, if it doesn't work the BCM is probably still bad.

FYI.... I have repaired BCM's available.

Thanks for all the tips & suggestions. I'll check it out and tap it after work today.

Stupid question #497 - What does the BCM look like and where is it located?

Thanks all!

FBM - I'll let you know if your services are needed....again :)

The BCM is by the heater hoses where they enter the A/C - Heater case. There is a single connector attached.

I'm guessing you mean this is the BCM in the attached pic? I knocked it a couple of times and now have air.

Is there a sticky on the forum as far as removing it?

Sorry about the dirt, still have Winter in the engine bay :(

It's held in by 2 screws.

Remove the connectors and the 2 screws and it should come out.

You may have to remove the heater hoses.

Best to have a replacement when you take it out.

FYI, the BCM is to the right of the blower motor...it's rectangular and about the size of a pack of cigarettes.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted. Found it.

Thanks!

You can unplug the blower motor and jump it directly to the battery to see if it works......polarity not important but be aware it will run wide open when you test it!!

The BCM is a PITA to change but doable with patience......not one of my strong points!!:argue:

Good Luck!!
