That has been FS for months. Am I right to be put off by the high miles (145k)?

That's not that high. I mean, it's not the '70s still. Car these days last well into the 200k's. And if you do wind up blowing something up, you know you can always get half the asking price back by selling the roller to someone here

First part is no mileage on these cars is a non issue. Look at cop cars they get abused the motor runs 24-7 then they get sold to a taxi co that literally put 400k on them.

When I bought mibe it had 140k on it. I drive it daily its strong like bull. When I was looking o was concerned about the mileage. My mechanic broke ot down like this, of the motor was going to fail it would of around the 100k mark not 200k. Also they are cheap to fix. Heres the thing of you buy one with less mileage it will run you about 4 grand more and you will still be close to 100k if not a 100k. You still could have a major issue this way you didn't spend the extra 4k and you can fix it and now you have a new car. My dad has over 200k mine is 180 my buddies has 170.

All that being said go see how it was cared for. See if its still a beast.

Here's a few other things. That car has bottomed out at that price range. Meaning you could part it and get close to that.

I know I was going to sell mine and buy one with eaton already done. I listed it for 8900 sold it the first wekend to a guy threw hours away. I called the guy and cancelled while he was on his way. Yeah he was pissed. I'm so conf with my mileage I'm putting the eaton super charger on it.

Lastlt my friend is going to vegas to get one with 160k on it dor 6k this weeknd.

Anyhow my 2 cents is negotiate and buy that baby.

I can tell you this also I was going to sell mi ne and buy one with an eaton on it instaed of doing the swap. I listed mone for 8900 sold it the firat weekend to a guy 3hours away and

I can also tell you I was going to buy a sc one instead of doing the eaton swap

Excellent perspective. I like the strong like bull part.

For larfs, I drove a 2004 Mercedes E500 which is in essence a Euro(trash) MM. It had no accidents and was all original. The motor did not run as smooth as the Ford modular and the chassis felt tired. I'm going with the Panther.

I spoke with the seller. Nice guy. It is mechanic owned so likely in good shape. I'm tempted but the mileage is still a sticking point for me.

This one is back on L.A. CL for $6,000. Too bad I already pulled the trigger on a CV LX Sport.
