Found another option. This is good if you have your engine or heads out though.

Thats a nice kit, but i prefer a kit that uses the two freeze plugs on the intake flanges, if that kit shown ever leaks its going to be very difficult to access the fittings without pulling the motor!

If this kit ever leaks, you have worse problems. ;) This is a new design on an old theme. I believe the original cooling head mods were on the rear of the heads.

yes they were, hence the reason they changed the design! its a nice kit, i just dont like the fact you cant access it if need be!

Do you HAVE to pull the motor to access it?

Personally, I prefer to use the plugs on the top of the heads due to ease of accessibility but Im having trouble finding the one that will work with an Eaton swap.

There are a couple guys out there that do make these specifically to work with the Eaton. ;)

Actually once you have the freeze plugs out and have these fittings in, I don't think it would be any harder than the intake side. And actually easier if you have a positive displacement blower. There is plenty of room between the heads and firewall. And lots easier to replace o rings instead of hammering freeze plugs in and out like the others shown in this thread.

That is true. I'm thinking of swapping the original DR mod to these.

I have the original rear cooling head kit and I have 90 k miles and no concerns.

Reinharts will - billet machined piece with o-ring and hold down with bolt. And its on the top of the head.

Bill are you getting the VMP TVS kit??? Re: Cobra Engineering?

Nice find, Bill!

Now if LDC or Apten had come out with something like this, they'd both probably still be in business. lol

BTW give me a call sometime, I owe you some stickers.

IIRC, once you pull the cowl panel out, there is quite a bit of room between the heads and firewall. Correct me if I am wrong.

+1, like the looks of this setup alot better and plus it looks like it will give you better options for hose routing than the original DR kit.
