Ok, so I found this car on my local Craigslist, and I went to check it out. This car is a smokin' deal, but I can't find a way to buy it, so I'm tossing it off to you guys. I wish I could afford it, but I just need to face the facts that I can't.

It's an '03 Marauder with 56,000 miles on it. The underbody looks brand new. It's outstanding! The car was bought on an insurance auction which apparently means the guy only has a bill of sale and NO TITLE. That's the biggest issue with this car.

The second biggest issue is that there is a small amount of damage on the passenger side; the rear quarter panel is dented in pretty far, and there's a crease down the length of the front fender. There's a handful of other little knicks and dings around the inside and outside of the car (including a small scratch on that precious dot matrix piece that spans the dash). I didn't think to take any pic because I wasn't looking to re-post this for the guy (I want this car so bad!!!:bigcry:), but for the price and mileage, you just can't go wrong!

It drove great and had great pickup. I'd be lying if I said I didn't burn the tires off a little while I was trying it out. This car seems to me to be a rear steal at only $5000. Let me say that again, $5000!!!

Anyways, Someone buy this car so I don't have to keep lusting after it!
The car is in Milwaukee, on Craigslist, and the guy's number is 414-350-1290. I hope it goes to a good home (or at least better than mine).

I'd be on that if I wasn't on the Left Coast. Fender is no big deal. Rear quarter panel is. Looks like a wing mirror is gone, easy fix.

The third and biggest issue is that it has a salvage title.

But it has the 4.6 performance engine. Wish it was more south.

Is this the model with the Cop Chip?

Knew I should've waited for a MM that had this instead of buying mine...

Yes Rex it has to have the cop chip. Wish I had a barn or warehouse.

Oh, right. I keep forgetting about that mirror. I kept forgetting while I was driving it too. Super annoying...
The quarter panel appears like it could be hammered out by a skilled body-man

Just my opinion but too much money for a banged up car with no title. I delt with a no tilte once never again big pain. Unfortunatally is a parts car to me. If someone wants to figure out a title I could buy it.

^^this^^ Sounds to me like he bought it back from the insurance company after they settled a deal. That deal and this 5 large is probably a damn good settlement. I'm sure he would go quite a bit lower.

Still, needing body work us one thing, a junk title is a whole other can of worms. Look how long and how CHEAP Bawazir sold his Eaton car for! 40,000 miles, mint paint, fresh blower build $10,500 or something.. Nice car.

This isn't what i would consider a good deal, more like a starting point.

I have been eye balling this Rauder for a bit. And with the title issue it makes it a parts car. And I think it's to pricey for a parts car. I saw the ad the first day it was posted. If it had a good title it would be new daily driver even with the body damage.

I totally agree! This car was a blast to drive, and the price would be dang near perfect if there was a title. It certainly didn't drive like it had damage...

Ref the title issue. If it is actually a "junk" title (and not a "salvage" title) then it can NEVER be registered to go back on the road again in the US or Canada. It is in essence a parts car. Individual state DMV laws usually dictate when a car is considered "junk." I have seen some repairable cars labeled as junk and some unrepairable cars listed as salavage and given titles so I have no idea what the criteria is for each state DMV and sometimes the insurance company will deem it junk. All the major salvage auctions will list if it has a salvage title or junk status sold only with a bill of sale.

That may be why he only has a bill of sale. Most states when you buy it back from the insurance company require to get a salavage title on it or they get one and then transfer it to you.

Here is a website you can check the VIN to see if it has been reported as salvage vehicle.
