OK everyone, I stopped by my buddies place in Elgin after today's meet. Pete ownes the Checkered Flag Pub & Grub and was all excited about having us in May. After talking with him he said that either May 2nd or the 23rd would work for him. Don't forget that the 9th is Mother's Day so that day is out. He has a full breakfast menu with complimentary buscuits and gravy. He opens up at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Either day is good for me. I'll let him know as soon as we decide which date. I think it will be good to do something different for a meet.

Opps! You're right. Now that I think of it, my Pipe Band is very busy during National Police Week, the forst week in May. Well, count me in, but I'll have to watch this schedule as it gets closer.

Why don't y'all think about making the Cleveland meet? There's a lot more than the MM going on here, it's about people too.

Hmmmmmmm...................... .........The Eastern Regional Meet has been in the works since Novemer. Many folks don't read the UPCOMING EVENTS forum and miss out on previously scheduled dates. I gotta ask Rick to put that forum at the top of the list, maybe more folks would check it.

HERE'S A LINK TO THE ITINERARY (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?p=106499#post10 6499)
Hope to see some folks from out your way, it's a nice road trip.

Here it is Folks, the moment you've all been waiting for... We will be meeting at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday May 2, 2004 at "The Checkered Flag" :banana2: located at 214 Walnut Ave. Elgin, IL 60123. The phone number is 847.531.6434. I told Pete that we always have a good turn out at our meetings so Let's have one of our best showings yet.

The best way to get there is off of I-90 to Rt. 31 South. (Rick, when you see IKEA keep heading West young man ... ). Head south on Rt. 31 until you get to Walnut Ave. When you get to the intersection, Walnut runs to the West, and National St. goes to the East. Turn right onto Walnut Ave. (There is a Funeral Home :bigcry: on the S.W. Corner) and go about a 1/2 block. "The Checkered Flag" :banana2: will be on your right. Lynn you'll want to take Plank Road to Route 20. Take Route 20 to Route 31 and turn left. Take Rt. 31 North to Walnut Ave. and turn left.

For those of you interested after the meet is over, The "Grand Victoria" River Boat is justa few blocks from where we will be. Head East on Walnut and cross over Rt.31. Walnut turns into National St. Go down the hill and the Boat will be on your immediate Left. Any questions just ask. See you guys soon.
