Hey guys new member here. I have a few questions about a prototype motor that I purchased from a private source. It is a new test motor with very small use. It has a strange(to me) intake and throttle body. the intake is all welded and machined billet aluminum with a dual bore t-body but the thing is controlled by electronic gas pedal set up. Can I change this to a manual cable type? It also seems to have imrc controllers on the back are they necessary for a drag and occassional street car? It also came with what appears to be a oil cooler set up coming off near the oil filter adapter?? is this necessary and is it stock marauder stuff ?? It came with power steering pump, ac compressor, and belt that I will not be using if any body is interested. This motor is so clean it can't have more than a couple of hours on it. what way can I get this thing wired up and running for the least amount of cash possible it seems to have main engine harness but who knows what computer or chip setup?? any help would be greatly appreciated. attached is a pic of the intake thanks jimmy

welcome to the board.....I can't say that I've ever seen anything like that before. but perhaps there are others here who have. Maybe it would help a little more if you shared more info about this engine.

For instance, manufacture, displacement, number of valves, overhead cam or pushrod, etc., etc.

Perhaps there are a number of guys who can help you w/that here, but I honestly have nothing to tell you other than the fact that as far as I know, Dennis Reinhart might be able to answer your questions about this, or perhaps Lidio.

Both of these guys are supporting vendors of this site and therefore each have their won forums on this board. just gop to the vendors forums to find them. Lidio is "Alternative Automotive, and Dennis is "Reinhart Automotive". You should find them in there, and click on their profiles to send them a PM about this or shoot them an e-mail. I'm not saying that either one of them will neccessarily have anything to sell you, but they will likely be able to tell you what can be purchased and what you can use for that engine.

The intake comes off drivers side, but that isn't necessarily just Marauder or Panther platform.
The oil cooler provision at the oil filter port sounds like what is used on the CVPI.

What car do you have now?
